Nicholas Stallard Nick graduated Rutgers University in 1985 with a Bachelors of Science in Marketing from the Rutgers School of Business and with a minor in world studies and history. He first joined Lehman Brothers in the office of Martin Shafiroff, then the largest retail financial consultant in the firm and the country, with a clientele that included some the most prominent individual & institutional investors of the time. In his time at Lehman Nick obtained a Series 7 securities license and his focus became developing option strategies for high net worth individuals that desired that level of sophistication in their portfolio's along with advisory services for high net worth clients. Following a keen interest in professional trading and world geo-politics Nick joined Credit Suisse Treasury as a currency dealer. In his four years at Credit Suisse Nick specialized in sales and trading of the Japanese Yen and created the firms firms Deutsche / Yen ‘cross desk’ in NY which became one of most profitable desks at Credit Suisse’s foreign exchange trading floor in New York. Following further opportunities Nick’s developed new operations as VP of sales and trading at several European banks, including Swiss Volksbank, BHF (Berlin Handels and Frankfurt Bank) and Hypoveriesbank. His main focus was trading and market making of spot (cash currencies) and proprietary currency option strategies along with sales and advisory roles for corporate, hedge fund and private equity clients. During this time Nick developed a highly valuable skill set combining a trader’s analytical skills perspective and discipline, along with a sophisticated communicative expertise across a broad range of business intelligence. In 1999 Nick moved to Bear Stearns to pursue an opportunity in business development, private advisory services in the firm’s Asset Management division. He served as liaison to high net worth and ultra high net worth clients in fund performance, determined asset allocation decisions, advised the firm’s financial consultants in currency transactions and separately managed accounts for their interested clients. Taking advantage of the explosion in internet and web based trading, in 2001 Nick joined newly created Hot Spot FX, a foreign exchange web based trading platform. The firm was eventually sold to Knight Trading for $77 Million. After being involved in several real estate syndications over the course of his professional life and seeking new endeavors Nick began pursuing a full time interest in real estate and development. He relocated to the Charlotte Lake Norman area of NC in 2004, a bright and stable location on national scene. In his 4 years in NC Nick created 3 businesses; Carolina Commercial Advisors, its sister firm Lake & Town Realty LLC (now with 8 agents) and Waterpointe LLC a custom build and development firm. The real estate companies have grossed over $35 Million in residential, land and commercial sales since inception in 04. Waterpointe has engaged development on Lake Norman including waterfront subdivision and custom residential construction. Nick is a licensed real estate broker in North & South Carolina, broker in charge of Carolina Commercial Advisors and Lake & Town Realty LLC; he is a member of the Charlotte Regional Realtors Assoc and the Realtors Land Institute. Additionally Nick is a licensed general contractor and principle of Waterpointe LLC builder development firm. Nick's unique combined assets encompass a broad range of disciplines including business development, financial analysis, marketing, real estate development and organizational management. Nick lives with his Wife Kathy and Daughter Lila in Huntersville , NC .
